# Statement of facts, complaint CQ-4471

# Statement of facts, complaint CQ-4471

## 1. Identification

| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Part number | 774-2210-B, bracket, zinc plated |
| Batch | L-26-0714 |
| Quantity delivered | 4 800 |
| Quantity claimed | 61 |
| Delivery date | 2026-07-16 |
| Complaint received | 2026-07-29 |
| Customer reference | CQ-4471 |

## 2. What the customer describes

Quoted from the complaint of 2026-07-29.

- "Burr on the 8 mm bore, felt by hand, on parts taken from the top layer of two boxes."
- "Two operators cut themselves on assembly line 3. Line stopped 40 minutes."
- "Sorting at our end found 61 parts out of the 300 checked."
- Photo supplied: one part, bore lit from the side, no scale in frame.

Nothing in this section has been confirmed against our own records. It is what
the customer says.

## 3. What our records show

- Batch L-26-0714 ran on machine CN-06, shift B, 2026-07-14. Source: traveller L-26-0714.
- Final inspection recorded 5 parts per box checked, bore diameter only, no burr criterion on the control plan. Source: control plan CP-774-2210 rev C.
- Deburring station log shows brush change on 2026-07-13, next change due 2026-07-20. Source: maintenance log MA-CN06.
- Bore diameter readings on the batch: 8.02 to 8.05 mm, tolerance 8.00 to 8.10. In tolerance. Source: measurement log ML-26-0714.

## 4. What nobody has checked yet

- Whether the burr is present on parts still in our stock from the same batch. No retained sample has been pulled.
- Whether "top layer of two boxes" corresponds to the end of the run. The traveller does not record packing order.
- Whether the deburring brush was worn before its due date. No wear measurement is taken at change.
- Whether the two other customers who received this batch have the same condition. Not contacted.
- Whether the 61 out of 300 rate holds across the whole delivery, or only the boxes checked.

## 5. What is still missing

- The customer sorting record: which boxes, which layers, the 300 checked identified by box.
- One photo with a scale, or a burr height measurement.
- Our retained sample from L-26-0714, measured for burr height on the 8 mm bore.
- Packing order for the run, if the packing station keeps one.
- The delivery list for L-26-0714 across all customers.

Nothing above is a cause. No hypothesis has been tested. D4 starts from
section 4.
