Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: Gather Current Resume and Target Role
Understand what you have and where you want to go.
Ask the user:
- Please share your current resume content
- What role(s) are you targeting?
- Do you have a specific job description to optimize for?
- What are your top 3-5 achievements you want to highlight?
- Any specific keywords from target job postings?

Step 2: Analyze and Identify Gaps
Compare current resume against best practices.
Evaluate:
- ATS Compatibility: Simple formatting, standard sections, keyword presence
- Impact Statements: Do achievements have numbers and results?
- Keyword Alignment: Does it match target role language?
- Structure: Is it scannable in 6 seconds?
- Relevance: Is content tailored or generic?

Step 3: Optimize Content
Rewrite content for maximum impact.
For each experience:
- Use the XYZ formula: "Accomplished [X] as measured by [Y], by doing [Z]"
- Add quantifiable metrics (%, $, time saved, team size)
- Include relevant keywords naturally
- Use strong action verbs
- Remove filler words and clichés

Step 4: Create Optimized Resume
Generate the final resume document.
Structure:
- Header: Name, contact info, LinkedIn
- Summary: 3-4 lines tailored to target role
- Experience: Reverse chronological, achievement-focused
